Five individuals killed and two children injured after a guy wearing a bullet-proof vest opened fire in Philadelphia Shooting, Pennsylvania.

The suspect, a 40-year-old man caught, carrying an AR-15 weapon, a pistol, a police scanner, and an ammo.

He had no known links to the victims, aged 15 to 59, according to authorities.

On Monday, police sent to the city’s south-western Kingsessing neighbourhood.

They also heard multiple gunshots as they were preparing them for transport to the hospital.

Officers then pursued the man on foot while gunshots rang out, destroying parked cars and leaving shell shells on the streets.

Police arrest the man at around 20:40 (i.e. 8.40)local time. He was taken into custody.

Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney described the Philadelphia Shooting attack by wearing a bullet-proof jacket and during a press conference on Tuesday.

Commissioner Outlaw stated that the “armed and armoured” man discharged his firearm at random, shooting seven people and killing five, “including children and babies.”

Commissioner Outlaw stated that there is no reason to assume there are any more suspects.

According to Ernest Ransom, a staff police inspector, the suspect wearing a ski mask and shot at automobiles.

He stated that the first victim thought to have died in the event was not located for several hours since they were at home alone at the time of the shooting.

Names of 5 people killed in Philadelphia Shooting Disclosed

Action News found out the identity of the culprit who seemed to randomly fire people with an assault weapon on Monday night in Philadelphia Shooting, killing five people and injuring four more.

According to sources, the suspect is Kimbrady Carriker, 40, of the 5600 block of Belmar Terrace. The house is only a few blocks away from the location.

Carriker has not been charged, but District Attorney Larry Krasner indicated at a press conference on Tuesday afternoon that he expects Carriker will be charged for people he killed..

According to sources, the suspect made troubling social media remarks before the shooting. According to sources, Carriker, who was wearing a bulletproof jacket, owned the firearms used in the deadly shooting.

Meanwhile, the police released the name of people killed:

  • Lashyd Merritt, 22, of the 5500 block of Greenway Avenue
  • Dymir Stanton, 29, 1700 block of South Frazier Street
  • Joseph Wamah, Jr, 31, 1600 block of South 56th Street
  • Ralph Moralis, 59, 1700 block of South 56th Street

According to police, two children, a 2-year-old kid and a 13-year-old boy, injured.
