The Marwari Shiksha Trust established Marwari College, Ranchi in 1963 to provide higher education for society’s young and prospective students, particularly those from poor classes.

Late Ganga Prasad Budhia’s honest and unwavering efforts resulted in the establishment of this excellent college in Jharkhand State. Late Ganga Prasad Budhia was the first President of the Marwari College Governing Body.

The college began with 30 Pre-University students, 76 B.Com. students, and 64 B.A. students in the evening session at Marwari School, Pustak Path, Near Shaheed Chowk, Ranchi, with Sri B.N. Chaubey as the first Principal. Because the number of students was constantly expanding, a separate wing for females was established in July 1967.

Marwari College Ranchi, as an autonomous institution, has received NAAC accreditation for further studies, as well as the UGC’s ‘Potential for Excellence’ Award, and offers Undergraduate and Postgraduate Regular Courses to students. It also offers Undergraduate and Postgraduate Job-Oriented Programs.
